Hi! We're Alison & Kimberly.

Alison grew up in an old-school bed & breakfast in the heart of San Francisco, and has worked in or alongside restaurants ever since. 

She attended Cornell's Hospitality Business School, and her resume includes every rung of the hospitality leadership ladder from barista to GM to Director of Operations for restaurants ranging from the Michelin stars of Chef Daniel Boulud's empire to local restaurant groups, mom 'n pops and JBA winners aplenty.

Our clients love coaching with Alison because she's lived the unique pain points and challenges of this industry, and has learned how to coach herself and her clients through them.

Alison makes her home in Minneapolis.

Kimberly grew up in Buffalo and took a less direct but more common path to our profession, waiting tables as she pursued work in the creative arts.

She later moved to the BOH as Co-owner and Executive Chef at her NYC-based catering company, The Dinner Belle, before rising the ranks in the retail world to become F&B Employee #1 and VP of Hospitality charged with developing the restaurants and culinary activations at both RH and Crate & Barrel.

How It Works

6 Months of Live Leadership Training Sessions

Learn new skills with these 36 half hour training sessions we call Pre-Shift. These are live over Zoom and dedicated to a specific leadership tool, resource, or concept such as:

  • How to have hard conversations
  • Naming and maintaining clear boundaries
  • Recognizing when you're in an anxiety cycle and moving out of it
  • Crafting a decision making framework for your team
  • Building high performance habits

Trainings will be recorded and added to your online coaching library to watch on your own time if you miss the live version. Included are optional homework activities so you'll know EXACTLY what to focus on each week to strengthen your leadership muscles.

6 Months of Live Group Coaching

Step into greater confidence with 19 group coaching sessions hosted live over Zoom. These Office Hours are for mentorship, supportive accountability, and directive coaching. This is a space to bring any and all questions about your leadership life (inside and outside of work) and tools you're learning in the program. Walk away with ACTIONABLE guidance to support you in taking your next right step. Coaching questions sound like:

  • What can I do to build back trust on my team after a bad review?
  • How do I get over my Imposter Syndrome and make confident decisions?
  • Is it normal to feel guilty spending more time leading my business instead of operating it?

Can't make it to the live session? No problem. Submit your questions in advance and watch our responses on the recording in your online coaching library.

Community Connection & Support

This group program offers a safe, nonjudgmental space to ask all of your leadership questions. It gives you the opportunity to learn from other Walk-In members while BUILDING MEANINGFUL CONNECTIONS. Community members may include:

  • Business Owners, C-Suite Executives + Industry Service Providers
  • Directors of Operations, People, Culinary, Wine + Beverage
  • General Managers, Assistant Managers, Chefs + Somms 

We don't know exactly how many people will invest in this first round of The Walk-In, but we are capping headcount at 30. We'll also host a What's App group so you can cheerlead, support, network, and make friends with everyone in the cohort.

Tiered discounts are based on the number of enrollees:

Program Schedule 

The Walk-In kicks off on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. 

Each month there are 3 weeks of active coaching and 1 week off to catch up. We'll host live sessions on Zoom Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays.

We will take 2 weeks off in April to carve out time for our Spring Break Retreat to New Orleans!

Outside of the time you spend attending sessions or watching replays from your coaching library, we recommend blocking at least one hour per week to engage with homework, invest in building new leadership habits, and practice the tools you're learning. 

Yes, you can absolutely graduate from this program in 6-months as your own best coach while holding down the fort in your food business and at home with your people.

In fact, this work will help you create more work-life harmony inside and outside of the business.

This is a 6-month program. 

Our final program session is on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.
